Digital Melting Point Apparatus. Digital melt point apparatus features a robust design which will withstand heavy everyday use while providing excellent accuracy in melting temperature measurements. The CG-1839-R is a "heated aluminum block"-type melting point determination apparatus designed for standard capillaries. Three embedded platinum RTDs (resistance temperature detectors) are implemented to provide reliable and accurate measurements over a long service lifetime. The CG-1839-R carries out smooth, oscillation-free temperature ramping (1.5, 3, 6 and 12 Degrees C/min), so a user can observe the melting process with little effort or intervention. Rapid cool off with the embedded fan enables rapid consecutive trials. Cooling from 250 to 45C in typical conditions takes approximately 10min. The durable glass magnifying lens and bright LED backlight allow for clear sample observation.
